Twitch’s New Feature Helping Streamers & Their Communities Interact

Twitch streamers now have new alert options to help them personalise and hype up events across their streams. A series of added Twitch alert options allow streamers to customise an array of alerts that acknowledge essential interactions in real-time like new subscribers and followers, as well as bigger moments reached through like Hype Trains, Goals, Raids, Charity, and more:

  • There are also two new Alerts available that are unique to Twitch, including Interactive Resubs (customizable alerts for return subscribers) and Celebrations (animated emote alerts that takeover a streamers’ entire channel page— including the video player, description area, and chat). Alerts will live directly in the Creator Dashboard, making them accessible to all streamers across Twitch.
  • The new Alerts aim to help streamers express themselves and connect further with their communities in real-time. The Alerts make up part of Twitch’s focus on helping facilitate deeper community interaction and innovating viewer recognition across streams.

This comes after Twitch launched several new features and experiences to help streamers better engage with their viewers, incentivise streamer support, and increase their earning potential, including: Streamer-versary, Golden Kappa Train, Monthly Recaps for subscribers, ongoing sponsorships experiments, adding functionality to purchase subs on new devices, and more.

You can read more about Alerts in Twitch’s blog post.
