Twitch Updates Streamer Payout Programs To Help Streamers Earn More

Today, Twitch released three announcements that build on changes made over the last year to help streamers earn more revenue and build sustainable careers on the service.

  1. Beginning May 1, Twitch will be expanding the Partner Plus Program, which was launched last year to help streamers more effectively grow their businesses. Now, Twitch is giving more streamers access to the program and increasing net sub-revenue shares. Eligibility will be expanded to Affiliates and we will be introducing a new level where streamers can earn a 60/40 net sub-revenue share (and lowering the qualification criteria for the 70/30 split). This expansion means 3x as many streamers will have premium net revenue share rates.
  2. Starting today, Twitch is eliminating the US $100K cap for 70/30 net revenue share recipients, meaning that streamers who earn more than $100K from subscriptions can continue earning a 70% net share of revenue instead of reverting to a 50% net share of revenue– ultimately increasing streamers’ earning and growth potential.
  3. Starting in June 2024, Twitch is changing the Prime Gaming subscription payout model to a fixed rate for each country, to ensure that the monthly Twitch subscription available to Prime members is a long-term, sustainable benefit for the Twitch community.

These changes are a significant step forward in our goal of making streaming more rewarding and incorporating the community’s feedback. We are working to create a long-term, transparent framework for streamer compensation that rewards and encourages creators who are committed to livestreaming, as well as bring predictability to streamers’ careers.
