The internet can be pretty bleak at times, but there are some amazing people who are doing their bit to brighten their corners of the internet and create a positive impact through charity streams.
Twitch wants to help support these charity streams and the causes their streamers care about.
Which is why Twitch’s new charity tool has added tens of thousands more PayPal-vetted charities and now features Australian charities such as Starlight Children’s Foundation Australia, R U OK?, Transgender Victoria, Lifeline Australia. Donations can be made directly in AUD.
The tool is now live and conveniently built into the Creator Dashboard, here’s what you need to know:
- No extra fees: Twitch does not take a cut of any donations made during these streams, or any tax incentives, so communities can pop off with maximum support for your cause!
- A simple start: Setting up a fundraiser in your dashboard now only takes a few clicks.
- Manage donations: Viewer donations are made directly to Twitch’s partner, PayPal Giving Fund, who will email a receipt, and grant the funds to the cause in accordance with their policies.
- More transparency: Donations are tracked in the activity feed and appear in chat along with the personal fundraising goal.
