Twitch last week rolled out Predictions – a fun new way for creators to engage their community.
Here’s how it works: streamers can set events (like: win a round of Fall Guys) and its possible outcomes, and viewers can use Channel Points to predict what will happen next. Viewers who guess correctly will win a proportionate share of Channel Points from the total pool (just a reminder: Channel Points hold no cash value).
Streamers want fun and easy ways to engage their communities and make participating in their channels even more interactive. Viewers want new ways to use their hard-earned Channel Points to interact with streams and join the action. Twitch is proud to offer Predictions as yet another superpower for creators to build community and level up the viewing experience.
Twitch built this product in response to community feedback and rolled out the first version in beta today. Twitch has enabled Predictions for 50% of partner & affiliate channels in order to gather user feedback ahead of making the feature more widely available (hopefully by the end of 2020!)
