PWR Muz, PWR Looter and Speedy have taken out the Fortnite Champion Series Oceania presented by Australian Open after five weekends of top level competitive gaming.
The trio performed well on the first day of finals action tying for second place with Agent Raptah, ATL Prhzy and PRDX Oatley on 158 points. Tournament favourites Sorif, Volx and Sync took Day One honours with 203 points but couldn’t repeat their performance on Day Two, only managing to add 92 to their overall score.
While Muz, Looter and Speedy took only one Victory Royale in the 12 match series, their consistently strong placements throughout the weekend earned them the coveted Axe of Champions with a final score of 325 points.
Leading content creator Lachlan was “super proud” of his teammates for taking out their first FNCS Championship. With more than 14 million subscribers, Lachlan created Team PWR in June 2020 to help spotlight OCE players.
PWR Looter stayed true to his promise to “come back next year” after finishing second in the 2020 Fortnite Summer Smash presented by AO.
Offering US$90,000 in prize money, the tournament series was broadcast live on Australian Open Twitch and Youtube between 14 February-14 March. The seven broadcasts had more than 413,000 live views and 4.55 million minutes watched on AO channels.
