A brand new PC demo for System Shock – the fully fledged remake of the ground breaking original from 1994 – has gone live as part Steam Next Fest which runs until 13th February, 2023.
Combining cult gameplay with all-new HD visuals, updated controls, an overhauled interface and all-new sounds and music (it even has the original voice actor of SHODAN) the demo will allow players to experience the whole of the opening level – with no restrictions – as you face SHODAN and her terrifying minions.
Players will need to use a combination of stealth, cunning and futuristic weaponry to make their way through Citadel Station’s all-new areas, traps, puzzles and secrets to reach SHODAN.
Facing them is an army of hostile and mutated creatures – created and controlled by SHODAN herself – players will need to either fight or avoid to survive.
System Shock is available to pre-order for PC via Steam, GOG and the Epic Game Store. The title will also be releasing on PlayStation 4|5 and Xbox One and Series S|X.
