Epic Games today announced the next Llama-Rama, an epic crossover event to bring Fortnite and Rocket League players together to celebrate the end of Season 2 in Rocket League and gear up for Season 3!
In this Llama-Rama event running from March 26 to April 10, players can complete Challenges in Rocket League for rewards in both Rocket League and Fortnite. You can find a full list of rewards here in the announcement.
To celebrate Llama-Rama and Rocket League’s musical-themed Season 2, we are also hosting a new Party Royale concert by Grammy-nominated DJ Kaskade! Kaskade was a key part of Rocket League this season, creating an entire EP for the game, and also crossing over into Fortnite by taking over Radio Yonder in-game. To help introduce the next Rocket League Season, Rocket League’s Season 3 trailer will be revealed at the end of each Kaskade concert.
The concert will air at the below times, and feature new XR elements to teleport players and Kaskade between the worlds of Rocket League and Fortnite. The concert will be taking place at the Main Stage in Party Royale or can be watched via Fortnite’s picture-in-picture functionality. It will also be streaming into Houseparty for up to 10 friends to watch together.
- Friday, March 26, at 8 PM ET
- Saturday, March 27, at 9 AM ET
- Saturday, March 27, at 2 PM ET
Rocket League is celebrating the event by bringing a new Kaskade bundle into the Item Shop with custom cosmetics and his latest hit “Miles to Go.” More on that here.
Fortnite recently wrapped up its own local music activation in celebration of the Australian Open and Fortnite Champion Series. Partnering with Sony Music Entertainment Australia (SMEA) in a market-first initiative, three curated digital events brought together some of the world’s biggest gaming identities and celebrated musical artists over three weekends.
The activation launched with a DJ set from Peking Duk in the first weekend, featured Melbourne-local talent Ashwarya in the second, and wrapped up with an exclusive Tash Sultana performance alongside the launch of her very own map in Fortnite which celebrated her latest album: Terra Firma. Australian creator Loserfruit explored the map live on stream with other local content creators, searching for album related easter eggs prior to the map’s public launch.
