Opening PAX Aus 2023 will be Storytime speaker Erika Ishii, renowned actor and voice-over artist best known for their roles as Valkyrie in Apex Legends, Ana Bray and Kridis in Destiny 2, Lumu in Halo Infinite, Kitsune in Call of Duty: Warzone, with featured roles in Cyberpunk 2077, Young Justice, and more! Erika Ishii is a recurring guest on RPG show Dimension 20 and its comedy streaming service Dropout , and co-creator of the narrative-play podcast, Worlds Beyond Number.
Erika’s Storytime will kickstart PAX Aus 2023 in the main theatre on Friday 6th October at 12:00pm.
We warmly welcome back the team from Summerfall Studios who will be showcasing Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical, previously titled Chorus, announced during the 2019 PAX Storytime keynote by Creative Director, David Gaider. Join the team Saturday for secrets, stories, music and myths!
“Time to rock ‘n’ load fellas!” Actor Ben Prendergast, who has lent his voice to video games like Apex Legends and God of War: Ragnarok, will be appearing as well as acclaimed voice actress and fire cracker, Jenny Yokobori, who has voiced dozens of animated series and video games including Smite, The Simpsons, Genshin Impact, Street Fighter 6, Fire Emblem Heroes, Ghost of Tsushima, Wasteland 3 and Fortnite.
This year’s PAX Aus concert will feature The Consouls, a Sydney-based ensemble, well-known for their jazz arrangements of iconic video game music. Having recently made their maiden voyage in video games, contributing to the soundtrack for ‘Advance Wars 1+2 Re-boot Camp’, one of Nintendo’s most anticipated video games of 2023, The Consouls will delight current and new fans in person on Friday night.
PAX Aus fans will once again awake to find themselves in a Dark Room with comedian, streamer, author, improviser, actor, video game writer, insult comic and human hurricane, Mr. John Robinson! Returning off the back of his Edinburgh Fringe and Soho Theatre Tour, fans can look forward to experiencing the long-standing Twitch Series, The Dark Room.
Twitch gaming variety show Back Pocket is also coming to PAX Aus! Join Stephanie “Hex” Bendixsen, Gus “Goose” Ronald, and the team for an interactive extravaganza on Saturday in the Quokka Theatre! You’ll also find the gang hogging controllers and keyboards at the PAX Rising booths all weekend!
Purveyors of fine digital entertainment wares from independent artists worldwide, Devolver Digital, will be doing an exclusive ‘first look’ showcase for their title, Plucky Squire, presented by the homegrown Brisbane Creative Director, Jonathan Biddle.
With more surprises locked and loaded for the 10th Anniversary, attendees can look forward to the team from Halfbrick, who appeared at the first ever PAX Aus in 2013 with their evergreen Fruit Ninja, members of Zelda Universe, The Legend of Zelda fan community, Robert Hartly renowned Games Master, Dungeon Master, Streamer, Actor, and the TOS Girls, some of Australia’s largest and most respected female streamers.
