Mandalorians, Marines & More: ‘Star Wars’, ‘One Piece’, ‘Titans’ Stars Join Supanova’s November Line-Up

Stars, seas, and superpowers collide next month, as Supanova Comic Con & Gaming reveals its latest wave of celebrity guests joining an already Supa-Star studded line-up for their upcoming tour of Adelaide (4-5 November) and Brisbane (11-12 November).

There’s a bounty out on Temuera Morrison and Supa-Fans are invited to collect! One of New Zealand’s foremost performers, the returning Supa-Star first rose to fame in the critically acclaimed Once Were Warriors, before donning his iconic Mandalorian armour in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones and The Book of Boba Fett.

From the Outer Rim to the open seas, Supanova welcomes up-and-comer Morgan Davies hot on the heels of Netflix’s live-action adaptation of One Piece, in which he portrayed the aspiring marine, Koby. This fan-favourite performance follows Davies’ breakthrough role as Danny in Evil Dead Rise, released to critical acclaim earlier this year.

Another ‘titanic’ addition to November’s Supa-Star line-up is Joshua Orpin, easily recognised as Connor Kent a.k.a. Superboy in DC’s Titans, which recently concluded its fourth and final season. A homegrown hero who graduated from WAAPA, Orpin has otherwise featured in Preacher and the Australian series Love Me.

Closing out the third wave of on-screen stars for November, The Matrix and Star Wars actor Matt Doran will also return exclusively to Brisbane, presented by The Sons of Obiwan Saber Academy.

Unfortunately, ongoing family illness has meant that previously announced guest Katee Sackhoff (The Mandalorian, Battlestar Galactica) will now be unable to appear in person at the upcoming events. Committed to greeting her fans in Australia, she will now instead be offering a virtual Q&A panel on the Saturday in each city.

The convention has also bid farewell (for now!) to The Lord of the Rings star David Wenham who has unfortunately needed to postpone due to an upcoming film role. Wenham sends his apologies to fans and hopes to visit again sometime in the new year.

For literary lovers, the story continues with international author Lev Grossman, best known for his New York Times bestselling Magicians trilogy that was recently adapted for television by Syfy. Grossman will attend in Brisbane alongside fellow writer Jo Riccioni of The Branded Season fame, also slated to appear in Adelaide.

Whether you love DC or Marvel, comic book enthusiasts will not want to miss legendary artist Paulo Siqueira! With over two decades of major credits including Venom, Titans and more, Siqueira is joined in both cities by local creators Alejandro Barrionuevo (Batman: Gotham Knights), Austen Mengler (Execution), and Darren Koziol (DARK OZ). Exclusive to Brisbane are Killeroo’s Darren Close and COMICS2MOVIES’ Shaun Keenan, while David Follet (Uncle Silas: GENETIS & EARTH) is back for his hometown of Adelaide.

General Admission, Supa-Q and VIP Supa-Star Passes are now on sale via Moshtix, with Autograph and Photograph Tokens to follow closer to the events. Remember to mark your calendars and stay tuned to Supanova’s social media channels for all the latest updates.
