‘If you can dodge an endgame boss you can dodge a ball’, is what competitors of Red Bull Gameball Royale will be hoping when they take the court at PAX Aus in Melbourne, this October.

Bringing banter, competition and a star studded line-up, four of the region’s most renowned video game entertainers, Lachlan, iamfallfromgrace, Muselk and Loserfruit, will battle it out for the Red Bull Gameball Royale trophy on Saturday 12th October at 2:00pm.

Digitally evolving a universal favourite, Red Bull has taken the high impact sport dodgeball and infused it with video game elements to create Red Bull Gameball Royale. This twist will see new, gamified mechanics delivered via an impressive LED court.

Teams of six will need to dodge, dip, dive, duck and dodge their way to interactive bonuses that gain them real world battle royale advantages such as extra balls and player revives. How they use these gains will lean on the team’s gaming expertise as rapid reactions and strategic thinking combine with the physical strength and agility required to claim the championship title.

The event is supported by Dominos, Uber and FLIP Insurance.

Red Bull Player  ‘Lachlan’, professional gamer, YouTube global sensation to over 15 million followers, and founder of lifestyle brand and gaming organisation PWR, shared, “I’m super excited to be captaining PWR Ballers for the Red Bull Gameball Royale. You probably couldn’t get a more competitive group of captains between Loserfruit, Muselk, Grace, and I, so it’ll be a super fun event. I’m looking forward to dodging some balls and coming out on top.”

The PWR Ballers team line-up is; Lachlan, Chanzes, JT, Victoria Bush, Looch and TG. 

They will be competing against fellow Red Bull Player , iamfallfromgrace, a professional gamer who is no stranger to the world of fitness having previously competed in the Obstacle Course Racing World Championships and Red Bull Defiance. She had this to say when asked about being captain for her team the Untouchaballs, “When Red Bull came to me with this opportunity, it felt like it was specifically made for me! Gamified fitness is a match made in heaven and I’m determined to dominate. I’m faster, stronger and smarter. My team will be truly untouchable, and we’ll show the likes of Lachlan what real power looks like.”

The Untouchaballs team line-up is; Grace, Jeff, Carla, Jenz, Lismeal and Middelton. 

Joining the Red Bull Players  in the rank of captain will be one of the most recognisable names in gaming globally. Delivering entertainment and competitive gaming content to over 7.8 million followers across Twitch and YouTube, Loserfruit will be bringing her unique style to the court with her team The Losers, “People think dodgeball is just a sport, but it’s more than that. It’s a battle. And I’m going into battle with my closest friends. We have the chemistry and the strategy to win it all. Don’t underestimate the Losers.”

The Losers team line-up is; Loserfruit, Bazza, Cray, Develique, Marcus and Vin.

The final captain for Red Bull Gameball Royale is an OG of both the Australian and global gaming landscape. Muselk has been making gaming videos since 2012 and is co-owner of one of Australia’s most successful talent agencies. Keeping his tactics tight under wraps, the well known competitive gamer has only shared that his team, the Ball Busters, will be ones to watch.

The Ball Busters team line-up is; Muselk, Gaby, Irrelevant Marc, Aussie, Bundun and Oasis. 

This will be the debut appearance of Red Bull Gameball Royale in Australia, with the event  having already completed two successful seasons in Germany. Those with tickets to Australia’s largest pop culture and gaming festival, PAX Aus, will be able to attend in person from Oct 11 – 13, while fans at home can tune in via each captain’s respective digital channels and the official Red Bull Twitch channel.

Friday and Sunday show days will offer attendees a chance to experience the action for themselves with public games available throughout the day and show matches from the Australian Dodgeball Federation, while Saturday afternoon will host the epic Main Event, starting at 2pm, in front of a live audience and broadcast to the world.
