Fortnite Debuts “Short Nite” Film Festival in Party Royale

This week, Fortnite is kicking off its “Short Nite” film festival in-game in Party Royale. Featuring 12 acclaimed animated short films, the festival starts February 21, 2021 at 6 AM AEDT and runs until February 22, 2021, at 6 AM AEDT.

Players can squad up to meet others at the Big Screen in Party Royale to watch the Short Nite series, which has a total runtime of about 30 minutes. The series will repeat non-stop for 24 hours, and players can jump in whenever they’d like, no ticket required. Players will also have the option to watch Short Nite in standard Battle Royale via Picture-in-Picture, available at the start of Short Nite and every two hours afterwards.

The films were made by creators and directors from around the world, and feature several award winning shorts, including winners of the Academy Awards, BAFTAs and Emmys.

The shorts being shown include:

  • Bench
  • Makin’ Moves
  • Rollin’ Wild
  • Car Park
  • Maestro
  • Oktapodi
  • A Single Life
  • Catastrophe
  • Commuter Glitch
  • Creature Comforts
  • Lynx & Birds

Party Royale continues to be an experimental and evolving space in Fortnite where players can relax and play minigames, attend concerts, or just hang out with their friends.
