Call of Duty: Mobile celebrates its first anniversary this month in style with the launch of a brand-new season, exciting events, and a new social space for players to hang out.
To mark the occasion, Activision has pulled together some incredible statistics from Call of Duty: Mobile’s first 12 months to tell the story of just how big an impact the game has had since it launched in October 2019.
Call of Duty: Mobile’s first 12 months – in numbers:
- 11.4 billion – number of times the most popular gun (AK-47) has been used in all modes
- 850 million – number of hours spent playing on Android phones worldwide during a peak month
- 300 million – number of Call of Duty: Mobile app downloads over the past 12 months
- 1,400 – approximate number of primary and secondary weapons in the game
- 182 – number of playable characters in Call of Duty: Mobile
- 50% – increase in size of the Call of Duty: Mobile Battle Royale map since its launch
- 27 – number of Multiplayer modes in the game, having launched with one
- 23 – number of maps in Call of Duty: Mobile (originally 11!)
Top 3 Primary Weapons Used In All Modes:
- AK-47 assault rifle – used 11.4 billion times
- RUS-79U SMG – used 11.1 billion times
- DL Q33 sniper rifle – used 9 billion times
Top 3 Scorestreaks Used (non-default):
- Predator Missile – used 2 billion times
- Sentry Gun – used 1.5 billion times
- Shock RC – used 1.3 billion times
Top 3 Battle Royale Classes Used:
- Mechanic – used 1.4 billion times
- Scout – used 1 billion times
- Media – used 936 million times
Top 3 Primary Weapons Used In Ranked MP Mode:
- PDW 57 SMG – used 958 million times
- RUS-79U SMG – used 834 million times
- DL Q33 sniper rifle – used 793 million times
Top 3 Operator Skills Used (non-default):
- Sparrow – used 4.7 billion times
- Gravity Spikes – used 4.3 billion times
- H.I.V.E. – used 3.4 billion times
The new update, Call of Duty: Mobile Anniversary, is available now on both Android and iOS, and includes the biggest injection of content ever:
- New Battle Royale map – Alcatraz, from Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode
- A new social space for players called “The Club.” It is a place for players to hang out, socialize with friends, and play various mini games, all within the Call of Duty: Mobile experience
- In addition to the monthly Battle Pass, there are of course new maps, items, and Characters, as well as a full month of seasonal events to keep players engaged and entertained
