Australia’s largest competitive gaming event wrapped up today on Margaret Court Arena today with Leevi ‘Breso’ Breslin (Brisbane, Australia) winning $100,000 after finishing atop the AO Summer Smash Solo’s Championship leaderboard after an action packed six-game tournament.

Ninety gamers from 11 countries battled it out for a share in $400,000 on a day where fans were treated to an afternoon of professional standard gameplay.

“It’s really exciting. I didn’t think I was going to win, my aim was to not come late so this is great. This tournament has been crazy,” Breso said.

“It was a great tournament. I’m going to come back next year if there is one.”, Looter said.

Event organiser Mark Riedy said he was happy with how the tournament’s second Summer Smash concluded on Sunday.

“We are so pleased that Summer Smash proved to be an even bigger success the second time around,” Riedy said.
