Fallout – Season 1 (TV Show) – Episode Synopsis

Fallout the TV series based on the beloved Bethesda, role-playing games is now out on Amazon Prime Video! Starring the likes of Walton Goggins, Ella Purnell, Kyle Maclachlan and Aaron Moten, this is one adventure into the wastelands of America, you don’t want to miss.

For a spoiler-free synopsis of the first eight episodes of Season 1 read below:

Episode 1: The End

On the edge of nuclear war, Cooper Howard, a cowboy Hollywood star, entertains at a party of the elite, oblivious to the mushroom cloud of doom looming in the distance.

Flash forward 219 years and we find ourselves in Vault 33. We witness a Vault’s typical ins and outs and the skills needed to be a successful and reliable member of a functional society. Lucy, though, wants a transfer into her vault as it is time for her to find love and do her part to increase the population However not everything is as it seems in neighbouring Vault 32. When disaster strikes and there is no other way for help but the surface, Lucy leaves the safety of the Vault life.

Meanwhile, we are introduced to Maximus training as a squire of ‘The Brotherhood of Steel’ to eventually don the illustrious T-60 Vault suit and be knighted. He must internally fight with whether he has what it takes to enter the Wilds and uphold his duties.

Meeting ‘The Ghoul’, a mutant bounty hunter, free from his prison, he is on a mission to track a stranger and his dog companion who has escaped the ‘Enclave’

Episode 2:

Opening up on the ‘Enclave’, we are introduced to our Stranger and his companion, as they flee their control. Lucy now traversing the wasteland is seeing for the first time the stark reality of surface life. Elsewhere, Maximus is squiring for Knight Titus but finds out to never meet your heroes.

When The Ghoul comes to claim his bounty a bloodbath ensues in Filly and no one is safe. The Stranger and his new dog bring Lucy and Maximus together to cross paths in the most untimely circumstances.

Episode 3: The Beginning

Cutting back to the past, we see Cooper embracing family life. Meanwhile, in the present, The Ghoul tracks Lucy across the wasteland with his own new companion but finds her struggling to keep her head. Now his captive, they head for the nearest raider camp. Maximus continues to look for the stranger with his new squire companion. Going back to pre-apocalypse, Cooper stars in an advert for Vault-Tec promoting their upcoming technologies.

Episode 4:

Now a captive of The Ghoul, Lucy witnesses the horrors of being a mutant in the wasteland where life is about an eye for an eye and anything is worth bargaining for.

Vault 33 decides who will be the next Overseer and has a moral conundrum over what to do with some raider prisoners. Norm, Lucy’s brother, investigates secrets hidden in neighbouring Vault 32.

We also meet a Snip Snip, a Mr Handy Robot in the flesh.

Episode 5:

Maximus and Thaddeus fall out over the need to achieve knighthood. Feeling downtrodden Maximus comes across Lucy and they team up unexpectedly with Maximus teaching her you are always food on someone’s food chain. They find a place that Lucy knows too well.

Vault 33 has a new Overseer but Norm believes there is more going on than seems between 32, 31 and his Vault as repopulation plans start to develop.

Episode 6

In the past, Cooper Howard becomes the face of Vault Tec’s Vault living, preparing the nation for a nuclear disaster and realises the future is all about what you produce and sell.

Lucy and Maximus find themselves in Vault 4 who have secrets and lies. Lucy discovers that each Vault has their own atrocities while Maximus settles into Vault life.

The Ghoul gets captured and taken to ‘The Government’.

Episode 7

The Ghoul tracks the raiders, and in particular their leader, Moldaver. Cooper learns his wife is involved with Vault-Tec more than he would like.

Lucy is put on trial at Vault 4 with unexpected results. Maximus confronts Lucy about his true identity.

Thaddeus is inflicted with injuries keeping him from getting back to The Brotherhood but he is a changed man.

People in Vault 33 are assigned their new Vault locations to 32 and Norm feels like he is losing all his allies so he makes contact with the elusive Vault 31.

Episode 8

Cooper is rocked by the person his wife has become.

Meanwhile, in the present, Lucy meets with the raiders but secrets of the past haunt her as her whole perfect world is rocked as the truths of the past are revealed by Moldaver.
Maximus leads The Brotherhood on a rescue mission but is torn whether he is on the right course of action.

As all three paths meet once again, The Ghoul is on the warpath and is ready to take all management down with him and recruits a new ally on the way.
