ASUS ROG Sheath Mouse Mat (Hardware) – Review

Thanks to ASUS we got to check out some of their latest products such as the ROG Sheath which is a non-slip mouse pad, the mouse pad has a nice soft cloth feel on the top which offers amazing pinpoint precision while gaming and the base of the mouse pad is made of red rubber which is designed to keep the pad in place while you are engaged in hectic game moments where you are gliding across the pad to get a win.

The dimensions of the ROG Sheath are 900 x 440 x 3mm so it fits nicely on a range of surfaces and offers great space for all your gaming gear while the 3mm thickness of the Sheath provides a comfortable and cushioned surface to rest your wrists on while playing, with enough resistance to cater to both heavy and light-handed players as it is optimized for smooth mouse movement.

If you play off a laptop you can place it in the middle and still have other gear set to it.

The design of the ROG Sheath is primarily black and features the Republic Of Gamers logo in red on the right side of the pad with a simple design. I was drawn to it as red and black are my main go-to colour combos for my setup.

I wish there were options for other colour formats of the ROG logo on the black finish. The ROG Sheath has been stress tested with a mouse glide distance of 250km and exposed to low temperatures of -30°C and high temperatures of 60°C.

The ROG Sheath is available to purchase by visiting the official ASUS website and will guide you to the best places to buy the product for your region, retail can hover around the $50-$60 price range, and the contents that come with it are the ROG Sheath mouse pad and 2 ROG stickers.
