With Season 5: New Dawn well underway, the Battlefield 2042 development team has revealed the newest in-game Seasonal Event – the Arkangel Directive. The event will run for two weeks, starting on Tuesday, July 11 at 5am PT through Tuesday, July 25 at 5am PT.  A combined arms battle never seen before, The Arkangel Directive features two factions dedicated to the most advanced robotics and AI technologies on Earth engaged in heavy conflict, fighting to win control in a brand-new game mode.  Control is a new 24v24 game mode played across Reclaimed, Orbital and Valparaiso, where players will claim satellites around the map, collect telemetry data to upload to the Arkangel Satellite and earn points to call in mid-game bonuses to turn the tide of battle.  Players can expect unique gameplay rewards during the Arkangel Directive event, including rare backgrounds and epic weapon skins, headgear and charms. Available June 8 (AEST), this season brings an array of new content to the game, including a brand new map, weapons, gadgets and quality-of-life improvements, in addition to 100 new tiers of Battle Pass content. These core content additions will be available to all players as part of the Free tier in Battlefield 2042’s Battle Pass*; additional cosmetic items can be earned through a Premium version of the Battle Pass**. With Battlefield 2042 Season 3 fully underway, the development team today revealed the latest in-game event starting on December 21 (AU time) – Battle of Nordvik! Battle of Nordvik will run for three weeks starting next Wednesday, December 21, with each week containing a different unique gameplay experience. The event will include a 32v32 Conquest Assault with a focus on fast-paced ground-only warfare, a 16×16 twist on Conquest known as Retribution, and finally, Breakthrough Chaos with heightened intensity over other modes and support for up to 128 players on PC and next-gen consoles. Earn Ribbons within each week’s game to unlock the gameplay rewards unique to that week. Today, EA and the Battlefield team premiered a brand-new trailer for Battlefield 2042 Season 3: Escalation’s latest iteration of the Battle Pass. In addition to the new map, Specialist, weapons, vehicle and more, the Season 3 Battle Pass includes 100 new tiers of content. The trailer features Egyptian-born Specialist and security expert Rasheed Zain who is adept at flushing foes out of cover with his XM370A Airburst Rifle. Zain’s perseverance under pressure and his ability to immediately recharge his health after taking out an enemy can be seen in action.
