A Set Containing Two Suspense-Filled Famicom Detective Club Games Is Available This Week On Nintendo Switch

In two chilling murder mysteries, players have to question suspects and reveal secrets when these deep cuts from Nintendo history launch on Nintendo Switch this week. Originally released in Japan only, Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir & Famicom Detective Club: The Girl Who Stands Behind have been localised in English and modernised, with updated visuals and fully voiced cutscenes*. The two games are available as a set in Nintendo eShop, priced at AU$90.00 / NZ$99.00, and are launching tomorrow on the 14th of May.

Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir – The wind whistles through the lush Japanese countryside. A man named Amachi finds the protagonist unconscious and stricken with amnesia. After waking up, they quickly learn that they are a detective investigating the death of the head of the wealthy Ayashiro family. Quick wits and detective work are needed to uncover both the culprit and the protagonist’s own past before tragedy can strike again in this harrowing investigation.

Famicom Detective Club: The Girl Who Stands Behind – Night has fallen over Ushimitsu High School. After a student loses her life while investigating the story of a bloody ghost that haunts the school, the unnerving tragedy leaves the local community and the victim’s classmates shaken. As a detective in the making, it’s up to the player to discover the truth behind the murder and the ghastly rumour of “the girl who stands behind” in this suspenseful prequel tale.

In these two visual novels, interrogating suspects and examining the surroundings are key to advancing the investigation. Move the magnifying glass across the screen and inspect clues with a push of a button. Scrutinize witness alibis by selecting the correct questions from a series of options. Only with the truth in hand is it possible to access new areas, meet more suspects and unravel the mystery.

With Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir & Famicom Detective Club: The Girl Who Stands Behind, two deep cuts from Nintendo history are coming to Australia and New Zealand for the first time, available as a set in Nintendo eShop from 14th May. Localised with English text and fully modernised for Nintendo Switch, twists, turns, and drama await at every corner in both of these suspense-filled games.
