I’ve had the opportunity to get my hands on the latest Sennheiser GSP 370 Wireless Gaming Headset, compatible with PlayStation 4 and PC and I was instantly impressed out the box at how sturdy it was; they just feel solid in construction with a simple but effective design.

The physical design of the GSP-370 is made for long gaming sessions with your comfort as a number one priority. Most headset functions are utilised via the Sennheiser Gaming Suite Program with the ability to adjust volume both on the headset itself and via the windows integrated volume controls. Their are a number of functions and customisation that can be performed whether you’re listening to music, casually playing games or even competing in Esports, the GSP 370’s offer up to 100 hours of wireless gaming thanks to a low latency wireless connection. This is all before it requires to be recharged via a micro USB cable provided.

To mute yourself, it is as simple as raising that headphone mic boom. This is especially useful when you are walking around the house or talking to someone else whilst you still have them on. I did find it a little fiddly with the small On and Off buttons, they are just big enough to turn the headphones on but feels a little less sleek with the overall design on the headset.

Its Sound quality is where the GSP 370 Wireless Headset shines, giving you a crisp and clear 7.1 surround sound that drowns out all background atmosphere. This is especially so when you have the duel material ear-pads with a leatherette exterior that provides sound insulation and reduces heat build-up from sweating around the ears.

The GSP 370 Wireless Headset feels incredibly comfortable especially for long grinds at a screen and the best part is when you need to move freely around your setup, there’s no need to play around with long cables. You just move around as you like and are ready to get back into action just as quick as you left it. Unfortunately, the down side to most wireless headsets is keeping them ready to go. You can’t forget to charge them and you need to make sure your charging cable is close by or you may be left in the lurch if you are unprepared. The GSP 370 helps alleviate this issue by supplying a 100 hour battery life!

Connection is via a USB dongle that I did have trouble making connections too for the first few times, but after a while with the firmware update, it was just a matter of turning on your headphones and away you go.

I’d like to say that with it’s solid design I also think that the GSP 370 may even be perfect for travel, with all the audio customisation features, it’s efficient software, portable dongle and a micro USB cable. With not much required to set up, it’s not a lot to travel around with, too bad it doesn’t come with a carry case.

Overall, the GSP 370 Wireless may not have all the bright shiny bells and whistles or is littered with bright colors but Sennheiser has never really been known to be like that. They have always been the go to for sound though, and it’s great to see a gaming headset produced with their massive experience in the audio field.

A wireless headset that’s simple in design, sturdy in construction the GSP 370 is a bringer of audio power with a huge bang. At a AU$349 price point, the GSP-370 isn’t the cheapest headset of its kind, but it is far from the most expensive.
