Still going strong after 10 years of updates, Maxis and Electronic Arts have introduced even more style into the wardrobes and homes of Sims everywhere with plenty of add-on packs to up Simmer’s catalogues. Sweet Slumber Party and Cosy Kitsch are among the newest in the bunch, bringing new sleepwear looks for the fashionistas at sleepovers and bold interior designs for the Sims who like to live luxe.

The Sweet Slumber Party kit resembles sleepovers that some of us could only dream of. With 27 Create-A-Sim sleepwear items, Sweet Slumber Party adds cushy outfits and accessories for sleepovers and snuggly nights with a mix of frilly, fluffy, and silky fits.

The pack includes a variety of styles to suit plenty of sleepwear preferences, from playful to very cutesy and demure. There are some glorious items in the mix from fluffy loungewear, flowy tops and tees, cute ruffled shorts, and adorable bow-adorned pants.

A delicate chemise or sweet nightie makes for a slightly cheeky look. A few items are unflattering, like slouchy track pants and a dowdy night dress. There are limited clothing options for more masc Sims, with a few simple silk shirts and pants and not much else. Overall, the choices are pretty great, especially when adding in accessories.

My Sims, Trixie and Katya (if you know, you know) were decked out with long-manicured nails. I tried on socks in various colours and patterns, glam fluffy slippers, and eyemasks. There are face masks and pimple patches to add even more to the slumber party feel.

The Sweet Slumber pack brings something The Sims 4 was sleeping on, more pyjama options. While there is some lack of variety in styles, the amount of clothing and accessories gives plenty of wriggle room to mix and match with the new and existing items.

The Cosy Kitsch Kit includes 27 midcentury-modern furnishings for interior designers. The bold and stylish pieces mostly bring a retro style in a fresh new package for living room spaces.
Cosy Kitsch is great for creating a complete and cohesive lounge space with a collection of different-sized lounges, a cool fireplace, swanky shelves, and heaps of decor. Funky lighting fixtures, wall art, and neon lighting combine everything to make a fully curated space.

The kit faltered for me in the limited colour palette, mainly centring around earthy tones like orange, cream, dark green, black, and grey. They look great together but leave limited flexibility for those wanting a brighter space. For those after a sophisticated monochromatic aesthetic, there’s enough to work with and for others, you’ll want to bring in some items from other packs to liven up the space.

Sweet Slumber Party and Cosy Kitsch are functional and fashionable add-ons to the packed line-up of items in The Sims 4. While they aren’t going to change your Sim’s life on their own, they add a nice touch of style to any Sim’s wardrobe and home.
