Two Point Campus: Medical School DLC (Xbox Series X) – Review

Improving a campus to unleash its full learning potential comes down to the current resources available, or in this case, Downloadable content.

Two Point Studios is back again with some more DLC for Two Point Campus to better expand your curriculum. Medical School is the latest content pack for you to wrap your untrained medical hands around, offering a great amount of additional content to the game, including 3 new locations, 2 new courses, multiple treatment rooms, over 60 new items, and more.

It’s time to teach the next generation of doctors and nurses using the 2 new courses, Medical Schools and Nursing, each of which will naturally require the hiring of new faculty. These new courses work great and flawlessly with the rest of the game, giving that much more variety to your already existing or new campuses, though I would have liked one or two on top of what we received – one for psychology would have been nice.

My favourite part about this new DLC is the treatment rooms, ranging from surgery and wards to psychiatry and thumping therapy. These come with the addition of sick, unwell, and possibly on the brink-of-death patients. As long as you’re wearing one of them fancy white doctor coats, they won’t know any better, whether you are a fully trained doctor or not.

Each room needs its special equipment, but we can always add more. With over 60 new items there’s plenty more to decorate the campus with, and you guessed it, it’s mostly medical-themed. There’s a decent variety of items including anatomy sculptures, skeletons, posters, a giant statue of a man holding a needle, even a helipad, and yes, there’s a helicopter that comes and goes.

Along with all these items and rooms comes a good amount of new animations for items and characters. Now the game includes unwell characters coming in for treatment, so animations have been updated as needed, whether they are hunched over showing pain, strange odors around them, or even falling over and dying if you don’t have the required treatment room to help them.

This is nothing to worry too much about though – the janitor will come along and vacuum up any ghosts.

More locations are always a great addition to any game, and they have included 3. This is where the Medical School DLC shines. With its beautiful Lake Tumble campus by a nice lake, Pointy Peaks above the mountains, and my favourite, Molten Rock on an island with a volcano that has a whopping 27 plots to build on.

All these locations, character animations, and an array of new items, plus courses and rooms add that little bit more to the game to make it that much more enjoyable. It’s a DLC well worth your time and money if you really enjoy Two Point Campus, to begin with.
