SkateBIRD, the avian action sports game from Glass Bottom Games, kickflips onto PlayStation 5|4 today, alongside a new content update for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S via backwards compatibility, PC via Steam, Itch.io, and Amazon Luna versions.
Embark on a mission to restore the spark for skating within former flock member, Anthony Hawk, hidden miles away at sea. Show off high-flying skills in the game’s largest level yet, Skate Heaven, and wow crowds of feathered admirers with buttery backside grinds and steezy lines. Show Anthony Hawk the community he onced loved is still as rad as ever and help fluff up his feathers to get him back on the scene.
Aim for high scores on the FANCY meter, rack up slick points for every flip, twist, and flawless landing. Double jump over pizza boxes, land gravity-defying 720 flips, and execute combos for maximum points. Perform jaw-dropping grinds, tweaked grabs, and kickflips, all while completing daring missions to help friends in need. If things get sketchy, a bird can always try again!
Every bird needs a moment in the spotlight and that’s easier than ever with the new Selfie Stick camera mode. Skaters with skills looking to peacock can utilize precise chase camera controls to capture that perfect mid-air 360 from any angle and preserve perfection forever.
Show off some personality and skate in style with the new customization options for wheels, boards, and birds. Turn up those headphones to max volume and jam out to four new soundtrack titles, available on the official SkateBIRD EP, a new mini-album available now on Bandcamp, Spotify, and iTunes.
“We love seeing players make SkateBIRD their own and are looking forward to seeing what PlayStation users will bring to the skate park,” said Megan Fox, founder, Glass Bottom Games. “We’ve carved out a nest of loyal players and are excited to bring them this expansive update to continue their high flying sessions.”
SkateBIRD is out now on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 for $19.99 and is currently available digitally on PC via itch and Steam, Nintendo Switch, Amazon Luna, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S for $19.99, and physically for Nintendo Switch via Amazon for $34.99, with language support in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Traditional and Simplified Chinese. Limited edition decked out birdies are coming soon to Make Ship.
