Battlefield V continues its foray into the Pacific as DICE today revealed new details surrounding Chapter 6: Into the Jungle. This next chapter in Battlefield V’s Tides of War campaign will launch on Thursday, February 6. Players can experience another side of the struggle between the American forces and the imperial Japanese Army in the dangerous jungle terrain of the Solomon Islands, which features dark mangroves, hidden bunkers, rivers and marshes. Solomon Islands is designed for intimate jungle infantry combat combined with land and sea vehicle warfare Three new weapons and two gadgets including the Type 11 LMG, Model 37 shotgun, M2 Carbine, M1A1 Bazooka, and devastating Lunge Mine Gadget can all be unlocked through Chapter Rewards. Just in time for the holiday playing season, DICE is bringing back the return of Wake Island, arguably the most popular map in Battlefield franchise history. The beloved map will launch for free on Thursday, December 12, as part of the latest Tides of War update, Chapter 5: War in the Pacific. Wake Island made its debut as an E3 demo for the original game, Battlefield 1942 back in 2002. Since then, the map has appeared in numerous Battlefield games, including Battlefield 1943, Battlefield 2, Battlefield 3 and now, Battlefield V. TRAILER: New Maps Coming In Battlefield V Chapter 4: Defying The Odds
World War II rages on this year with four new maps as DICE announced Chapter 4: Defying the Odds* starting June 27. From huge sandbox all-out vehicle warfare to smaller infantry battles, Battlefield V is giving fans more of what they’ve been asking for – new multiplayer map experiences. Kicking off the new content are two new large 64-player maps. The first coming at the start of Chapter 4 is the Al Sundan map, built for classic multiplayer action, focusing on big distances, vehicle-based teamplay, and battles across all ranges. This map is based on the single player war story in the game, Under No Flag, in the vast North African desert. The Marita map comes next in July, bringing the second of the two Greece maps, after Mercury launched in Chapter 3: Trial by Fire, and sees the Battle of Greece rage on.
