After a thrilling first season of The Dark Pictures Anthology, the story that started it all is coming to Nintendo Switch. Players will be able to embark on the horrific and mysterious journey of Man of Medan, as Supermassive Games take their first steps on Nintendo Switch.
In Man of Medan, five friends set sail on a holiday diving trip, as the day unfolds and a storm rolls in their trip soon turns into something much more sinister and terrifying. Players will be able to explore the haunted ship and experience the full story and beyond with the extended playable chapter Flooded and the Curator’s Cut game mode available at launch as well.

From today, The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan will be available with Xbox Game Pass on console, giving a new opportunity for players to dive into the terrifying cinematic horror of The Dark Pictures Anthology. Man of Medan will also be available with Xbox Game Pass on PC later this year.
In Man of Medan, four friends and their inexperienced dive captain set sail on a holiday diving trip, with a rumoured WWII wreck to find. As the day unfolds, and a storm rolls in, their trip soon changes into something much more sinister. Who will live? Who will die? Choice is all yours!

Don’t Play Alone! Man of Medan offers free Friend’s Pass ahead of the long, winter nights. The Curator’s Cut ‘alternative path’ is now also free for everyone.
All existing owners of The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan, or those that purchase the game before 6th of January*, will gain access to a free Friend’s Pass – allowing players to experience one full playthrough of the game via Shared Story Multiplayer with one friend that does not own the game.
The offer applies to PlayStation®4, Xbox and PC – and the friend must be playing on the same platform. To access the game, your friend must download the Trial version of Man of Medan first. The Friend’s Pass will be provided via a patch.
In addition, The Curator’s Cut, an alternative viewpoint, providing additional scenes, that unlocks after completing the main story once is now available for everyone to enjoy!

Following the overview last week of the Shared Story mode, today Bandai Namco have shared an overview of the second multiplayer mode in Man of Medan, Movie Night Mode.
Movie Night Mode is an offline multiplayer experience for up to 5 friends, each taking control of a different character and controlling his or her choices throughout the game.
Available now via a new video which can be viewed below is an overview of one of the two multiplayer modes in Man of Medan, the Shared Story mode.
Shared Story is a 2 player, co-op, online multiplayer mode, with players sharing the same story simultaneously.
Each friend plays as different characters in concurrent scenes, bringing a whole new perspective to the story with totally new choices and consequences.
Today, Bandai Namco are giving fans a more detailed look at The Curator’s Cut mode of The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan, with the release of an early scene from two perspectives.
The Curator’s Cut – an alternative path and viewpoint from the main story – will reveal new information, feature new choices and decisions that affect the story, and provide new secrets for players to discover.
Available from Day 1 for all players that preorder the game, The Curator’s Cut will also be unlocked later in 2019 for free for all other players.
The video takes you through a scene at the very start of the game, showing the choices from the perspective of Brad in the ‘Theatrical Cut’ (the first play-through), and then in the ‘Curator’s Cut’ from the perspective of his brother Alex (unlocked once you’ve played through the main story once).

BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe and Supermassive Games are pleased to confirm the first installment in The Dark Pictures Anthology, Man of Medan, will be released on 30th August 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC Digital.
Man of Medan is also available to pre-order from today at participating retailers – with players that do gaining exclusive Day 1 access to the Curator’s Cut – an alternative path from a new perspective.
Unlocked after completing the game once, the Curator’s Cut (which will be made available for free to all players at a later date) provides:
A new perspective with alternative characters in previously played scenes
New decisions and choices within each scene which change the story in different ways
New scenes and new secrets not featured in the original playthrough
