Twitch has today announced it is adjusting the price of subscriptions (existing subs, new paid subs, and gift subs) in ANZ and across APAC within the next week, to better align with the local costs of living and boost creator growth and revenue in the long-term.
In fact, since the launch of local sub pricing in Mexico and Turkey in May, viewers have been gifting five times more subs—a trend Twitch is keen to replicate locally.
Below is a partial list of the Tier 1 subscription price changes on Web in Australia and New Zealand. For a full list of price changes in Asia Pacific countries, read more here.
Moreover, to help creators adapt to the new pricing model with no impact to their short-term subscription revenue, Twitch is launching a 12-month program that guarantees a certain level of revenue for eligible creators.
