North Sydney Sentinels Reign Supreme In The World of Tanks ANZ Premier League

Season two of the World of Tanks ANZ Premier League is now in the history books with the North Sydney Sentinels being crowned the champions. In a thrilling seven game series against the Brisbane Bulldogs, the North Sydney squad secured their second Premier League title and the $10,000 first place prize making them back to back champions. All grand final games were held in Fortress Melbourne to a full crowd and were viewed by over 5,000 people as part of the live broadcast.

Kicking off back in early March, the World of Tanks ANZ Premier League season two has been an exciting ride for viewers and players alike with a number of surprise upsets and near victories along the way. “This season was more than we could have hoped for across the board” said World of Tanks ANZ Product Manager, Jake Truman. “We had a bigger prize pool, record-breaking viewer numbers, insanely close matches and our first live event ever for the Premier League. What more could you ask for?”

The North Sydney Sentinels walk away from season two $10,000 richer with their opponents the Brisbane Bulldogs taking home a respectable $5,000 prize. The Melbourne Matildas and South Sydney Skorpions, took home $3,000 and $2,000 respectively after their battle for third place the previous weekend. The North Sydney Sentinels also received limited edition World of Tanks themed HyperX Cloud II Wireless headsets as well as ROG Strix Curved 32 inch WQHD Gaming Monitors.

“All players should be exceptionally proud of their efforts across the last few months” said Truman. “They kept us all entertained with amazing displays of skill and sportsmanship so we owe them and our fans a massive thanks. Let’s hope we can keep that momentum going and experience an amazing season three!”
