Oz Comic-Con’s community-based event, OCC POP UP, was a complete success that helped bring together the pop culture community in the wake of COVID-19.

An event that has been so long in the making played witness to many smiling faces and a few teary eyes as they entered the show floor for a celebration of everything including cosplay, comics, gaming, and beyond.

Not only is this a huge step in the right direction but it goes to show that events can return in some capacity given enough thought and action regarding covid protocols.

With thousands of attendees walking through the doors of Hall 5 throughout the weekend, it’s great to get back to the basics of pop culture with hopes of more of these events launching in the near future.
